ART + DECORATION Clockwise from above: Sterling-and- vermeil tin can; sterling ball of yarn; sterling bird's nest and porcelain eggs, all designed by Reed Krakoff for Tiffany & Co. 68 WINK, WINK A sterling soup can. Crazy straws dipped in gold. Reed Krakoff makes us smile with his debut collection for Tiffany & Co., Everyday Objects, which elevates utilitarian necessities into unexpectedly precious things. Krakoff has reimagined the tin can with hand-finished sterling silver and gleaming vermeil, set off by a streak of Tiffany blue ($1,000). Paper to-go cups masquerade in Tiffany-blue bone china (set of two, $95) and sterling silver ($575). Crazy straws are vermeil, sterling, and rose vermeil ($250). There's a sterling-silver ball of yarn ($9,000), and a delicate silver bird's nest proffering Tiffany-blue eggs ($10,000). Krakoff, who joined Tiffany & Co. as its chief artistic officer earlier this year, is a well known collector of fine art and important 20th-century furnishings. He's off to a rollicking start at the 180-year-old company, where he oversees all design matters relating to home, jewelry and visuals. tiffany. com. Rebecca Sherman
