SALIENT FACTS. 18 PAPERCITY DESIGN AWARDS NOW ACCEPTING ENTRIES T he panel of judges for the Houston PaperCity Design Awards has been announced and includes (as of press deadline): Ray Booth of the prestigious architecture and design fi rm McAlpine, based in Nashville and NYC; New York designer Alex Papachristidis; New York designer Joe Nahem of Fox-Nahem; Dara Caponigro, creative director of F. Schumacher & Co., previously editor in chief of Veranda and founding editor of Domino; and Gen and Benjamin Sohr, creators of the design development fi rm Pencil & Paper, based in Nashville. The PaperCity Design Awards recognizes outstanding interior design, interior architecture, retail, restaurant and gallery design, landscape design, historical preservation, and furniture Welch l Hall Architects T exas Design Week Houston is Monday through Friday, April 23 through 27 — a week-long celebration of design with panel discussions, salon talks, book signings, product launches, home tour, and cocktails with some of the most recognized names in the design business.
