And the eve- ning did not disappoint: from Magritte's apples and butterflies to Dalì's lobster and Schiaparelli's lips. Bergner and Johnson crafted the surrealist scène — a birdcage booth for DJ Athenz and screens flashing abstract images, while Jackson and Company served hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. The evening benefitted the Menil Contemporaries Fund, a crowd- sourcing effort to establish a permanent, endowed fund to support development, maintenance, and preservation of the museum's green spaces.
