G wyneth Paltrow last came to town in 2014, but it seems she couldn't stay away for long. This month, the actress turned lifestyle guru opens a Goop boutique in Highland Park Village, where she hosted that first month-long pop-up several years ago. Though it's slated to close in June, the stop is a must-visit for devotees of Goop's private-label skincare, apparel, wellness, and fragrance (Goop Glow powder, Luminous Melting Cleanser, and newly launched bath salts, sigh), plus an edited collection of non-Goop products from May Lindstrom, Vintner's Daughter, Mono Juice, and Four Sigmatic. There's a marketplace divvied into smaller design and culinary spaces: a cafe with a menu developed from Paltrow's cookbooks and goop.com recipes, a Cointreau margarita bar, fashion closet, beauty and wellness apothecary, and a pantry stocked with home wares. For the latest scoop on all things Goop, we polled their top peeps for what they can't live without. B E S T C O M F O RT FOOD RECIPE. " C a u l i f l o w e r m a c 'n' cheese [from the c o o k b o o k I t 's A l l Easy]. The Gruyère, cheddar, Parmesan trifecta is genius. It might be the answer to more problems than we realize — and including an entire head of cauliflower lets me feel virtuous about the whole endeavor." — Danielle Pergament, editor in chief, goop.com FRESHEST SPRING FRAGRANCE. "In spring, I love to wear Goop Shiso. It's this light, bright, almost watery- wet Japanese-forest fragrance. It's sort of sunny, sort of shady, fresh, and so sexy." — Jean Godfrey-June, executive beauty director BENEFITS OF BATH SALTS. "The best gift on earth, which I couldn't resist giving to myself, is every one of the new Goop baths. They look, feel, and smell incredible. If you work out, Phys Ed will change your life. If you're a person that ever has a bad day, The Martini is pure, emotional detox. And I stockpile Nurse in case anybody gets sick." — Jean Godfrey-June HEALTHIEST MARGARITA RECIPE. "A simple, classic Cointreau margarita with a lot of lime, every time." — Britt Pattner, experiential creative director [For the preferred Goop marg recipe, click papercitymag.com.] BUILD YOUR GO-TO UNIFORM. "In L.A., work and weekend wardrobes are pretty similar. Every month, I add another Goop-label item to my closet. My go-to outfit is a pair of sneakers plus some very elevated denim. Frame jeans go with everything. A silk blouse to take it up a notch, and a cardi — I don't leave home without it. Always close the deal with earrings." — Blair Lawson, chief merchandising officer FAVE DESSERT FROM GWYNETH'S COOKBOOKS. "Coffee Granita. It's not too sweet (I've always been more of a salt person); it looks hard to make (it's not); it doesn't put you to sleep; and it includes the three most magical words in the English language: coconut w h i p p e d c r e a m . " — Danielle Pergament M U S T- H AV E S AT HOME. "A Nude Glass whiskey decanter set looks cool on a fireplace mantel and beckons guests to help themselves, which makes things casual and cozy … Coffee-table books you regularly pick up and flip through, while sitting by the fire. I update the stack with new books all the time, but currently I have Made to Measure; Commune: Designed in California; This Brutal World; Jacques Grange: Interiors; and Jasper Johns' RA catalog." — Britt Pattner THE MAGIC BEHIND GOOP VITAMINS AND SUPPLEMENTS. "Years ago, we wrote a story called 'Navigating the Vitamin Aisle,' and the response was huge, so we knew our readers wanted guidance. We decided to create simple, daily regimens of vitamins to address specific problems. All of the problems we addressed were born from the overwhelming response we saw to our articles. For example, our Mother Load regimen came from a Q&A with Dr. Oscar Serrallach about postnatal depletion — one of the most heavily trafficked and highly shared articles we have ever published.
