76 A HALLMARK MOMENT BY LINDEN WILSON. PHOTOGRAPHY MARK NELSON. I f we needed more proof that Dallas is a thriving cultural hub, it would be the forthcoming addition of Hall Arts Residences and Hall Arts Hotel to the Dallas Arts District, neighboring the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center and Winspear Opera House. Founded by developer Craig Hall, both the 28-story luxury residence tower and lavish eight- story hotel (to be filled with contemporary art and sculpture) will debut in 2020 — a $250 million project that stands to enhance our city's dynamic arts scene. To fête the 10-year anniversary of the Dallas Art Fair, kicking off Friday, April 13, VIP art patrons gathered in the model unit, where sleek interiors by Dallas-based HKS Architects and Emily Summers Design Associates lay a neutral foundation for future residents. To the tune of clinking glasses, both Craig Hall and Dallas Art Fair chairman John Sughrue generated buzz for the former's monumental enterprise and this year's Dallas Art Fair, pre- senting close to 100 galleries from 30 cities across the globe.
