20 RIENZI SPARKLES SHELBY HODGE SHINES. PHOTOGRAPHY JENNY ANTILL CLIFTON. V isitors to Rienzi are usually capti- vated by the handsome European decorative arts on display, but dia- monds reigned supreme at the annual spring party. A fashionable clutch of old guard and newcomers toured the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, house museum designed in 1952 by John Staub, before descending to the back garden terrace — where massive "H" and "W" flower creations floated in the pool — for cocktails and a spring buffet dinner by Swift + Company.
