letter publisher 28 N ovember marks the beginning of my favorite time of the year: the holidays! I thought New Yorkers knew how to celebrate, but I fell deeper in love with Dallas when I saw this city come to life through its magical, seasonal decor and unparalleled spirit of giving back. Every turn, whether in Highland Park Village, Dallas Design District, or Lakewood, you're welcomed with a sense of peace, gratitude, and utter joy. As we welcome this change of season, it's hard to believe I have lived here for six months already, and that, with the blink of an eye, we will be celebrating a new year. Our next two issues are arguably our most decadent, highlighting the season's most alluring jewels, fashion must- haves, and major holiday hosting inspiration, from fabulous cocktails and restaurants to home design. We invite you to escape into our world of inspiration, aspiration, and beauty My love for our brand's trusted partners is another reason why this month is particularly dear to me. PaperCity has the honor of serving as the exclusive media sponsor for our city's top philanthropic organizations, and this month we are thrilled to be a part of numerous events. We kick things off on a delicious note: Chef's For Farmers, November 2 through November 4, showcases Dallas' incredible food scene and the farmers behind the magic. Sharing in this weekend's festivities are four amazing fund-raisers: American Heart Association's Collin Country Heart Ball; St. Jude's Evening under the Stars; and the Dallas Summer Musicals Gala, all taking place on Saturday, November 3. (A busy night, indeed!) Sunday, November 4, Young Women's Preparatory Network presents Girls Innovate: YWPN STEM Challenge at NorthPark Center, taking place from 1 to 5 pm. The Family Place, a longtime PaperCity partner, hosts its ReuNight party on Thursday, November 8 at the new Haas Moto Museum & Sculpture Gallery in the Design District. And on Saturday, November 10, The Perot Museum will host its annual A Night at the Museum. Another packed evening comes on Saturday, November 17, with the Best Buddies Gala and M1 Ball benefitting Mercury One. And the highly anticipated and festive Trains at NorthPark, benefitting Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, begins that same day, running through January 6, 2019.
