D Chairmen Paula Arnold, Carrin Patman amaged couture handbags were given new life at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft's aptly named Crafting a Legacy Luncheon. More than 275 guests gathered at the River Oaks Country Club for the afternoon of fashion and fun, which culminated in the Art as Accessory silent auction led by The Vintage Contessa's Donae Chramosta, who donated the luxury bags that were repurposed into biddable artworks by current and former HCCC artists-inresidence (AIR) including Melissa Walter and Edward McCartney. Models further tempted the crowd with accessories from the Craft Center's Asher Gallery.
