NOTES ON FASHION BY STEVEN HEMPEL L ouis Vuitton's Swiss- made Tambour Street Diver is a luxury watch aimed at the high-end sporting life. Meant to be worn from gym to club, beach to office, it fuses a quick-change integrated wrist strap with a body crafted from a single block of metal, while keeping intact the unique drum shape seen in earlier versions. Aesthetically, the watch's face finds Vuitton foregoing numerals for L-O-U-I-S-V-U-I-T-T- O-N. Is it noon, or is it L? Probably depends on the watch you're wearing. Other features include 100-meter water resistance, a Super-LumiNova dial coating, and diving scale placed below the sapphire crystal on the turning flange. The Tambour Street Diver is available in three 44mm m o d e l s ( S k y l i n e Blue, Neon Black, Black Blaze) and one 39.5mm quartz version (Pacific W h i t e ) . This marks the Italian luxury-wear brand's second collaboration with Anderson, who has risen to fame as creative director of Loewe as well as his namesake brand, JW Anderson. Moncler Genius was first unveiled at Milan Fashion Week in 2018, allowing Moncler the flexibility to launch multiple collaborative efforts throughout the year, giving them a constantly refreshed lineup. 1 Moncler JW Anderson sees the noted fashion director exploring both his own British roots and the roots of the JW Anderson brand, giving a Moncler spin to JW Anderson archive pieces and delivering an interpretation of nomadic characters rooted in the idea of adventure. Fluid across genders, the collection uses eyelets and tri-stitching details seen in sailing apparel to accent parkas, field jackets, Bermudas, cargo pants, and T-shirts. A vintage quilt serves as inspiration for intricately quilted works including a cotton long coat and cropped jacket. Included in the release are sustainable pieces made of Econyl, a regenerated nylon derived from ocean and land-based waste. At Jonathan Anderson for Moncler Louis Vuitton Tambour Street Diver
