More than two decades earlier, her 1999 exhibition for Cartier was unveiled; it was the same year as her first appearance in the Venice Biennale and at the Carnegie International in Pittsburgh. Last fall, Sze was summoned back to Paris to conjure "Night into Day" — a two-part, image-laden installation that invokes the idea of both the planetarium and the pendulum as it addresses notions of memory, space, and time. The site-specific creation samples digital files gleaned from the artist's own iPhone and the Internet. A free companion app, Sze's Night Vision 20/20, transports users via AR into a nocturnal kingdom of floating visuals; download it from the Apple or Google Store.
