T h e representation of one's self through the clothes we wear and the choices we make. They can be subtle or dramatic, reflecting our mood, the seasons, even our rebirth. This is the environment that Louis Vuitton has perfected. It's a world that is constantly changing and reinventing itself through technological and environmental advancements — one that confuses and leaves us grasping for order. Vuitton has come to represent order. Through both change and stability and by providing a new prism to view both ourselves and the world, the house has become a siren to those adrift in the sea of fashion. It shows us how we can be, allows us to feel how we want to feel, and provides a safe harbor by making personal expression the rule of law. It's against this backdrop that Vuitton launches its first men's store in Texas in the Houston Galleria this month. It's a showcase dedicated to the Louis Vuitton universe — a destination representing house philosophies embodied by its ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes, accessories, travel, and fragrance. Meant to serve as an international destination, the new LV store mixes local heritage, culture, and arts with its own distinct identity.
