There's more to Round Top than just shopping. We've compiled a list of upcoming events, both during the Antiques Show and after. From live music and gallery exhibitions to dinners, there's plenty to do in our little neck of the woods. Be sure to check for updates. March 1 – 31 Flatonia Chamber of Commerce Parade of Quilts. Locations of quilt displays to be announced. Saturday, March 5 6 – 10 pm: Texas Women's League Spring Gala at Fayette County Fairgrounds Pavilion in La Grange. Catered dinner by Twenty- Two North Holland restaurant. Dancing to Newsboys Band. Online silent auction. Tickets $150. Saturday, March 12 Noon – 5 pm: Burton Heritage Society 11th Annual Texas Ranger Day in downtown Burton. Crafts, games, buggy rides, and more. Kountry Chick DJ brings the tunes. Annie Maud Avis Memorial Fajita and Beans Cook-Off. Benefits Mount Zion Chapel restoration. 3 – 5:30 pm: James Dick Piano Recital featuring works from Bach, Brahms, Beethoven, and Benjamin Lees. Tickets $40 adults, $10 students. Reception and dinner $60 per person with reservation. March 17 – April 3 Round Top Spring Antiques + Design Show Thursday, March 17 4 – 8 pm: Busted Oak Cellars hosts Bring Your Dog to the Winery Day. Pack up your pooch for an afternoon of pup treats and photo op in the famous big maroon chair. Friday – Saturday, March 18 – 19 27th Annual Herbal Plant Sale in partnership with Herb Society of America's Pioneer Unit. Shopping and Saturday presentations. Registration $45. Benefitting Round Top Festival Institute. Sunday, March 20 5 – 8 pm: Round Top Café wine and sign event celebrating the release of the new cookbook, Cooking with JB & Jamie. Thursday, March 24 5 – 7 pm: Cocktails, barn talk, and book signing with Bill Curtis, Curtis & Windham Architects, co-hosted by ICAA, Institute of Classical Architecture & Art; Curtis will sign his book A Vision of Place: The Work of Curtis & Windham Architects. At The Halles, VIP ticket holders and by invitation. Friday, March 25 5 – 7 pm: Cocktails, barn talk, and book signing with Ted Flato, Lake | Flato architects, as he signs his book Lake | Flato Houses: Respecting the Land.
