T he Meeting: The road to the altar ran through Baton Rouge, where Meredith and Mason attended LSU. Proposal: March 11, 2021, sunset on the beach of the Lyford Cay Club Wedding Event Planner: Todd Events Invitation: Bell'Invito Setting: Two hundred and fifty guests attended the al fresco ceremony in the formal gardens and sunken pool loggia of the bride's parents' home in Houston — Cherie and Jim Flores' neoclassical English Regency-style house designed by architect John F. Staub for Texas oilman Hugh Roy Cullen in 1933 — a Slim Aarons scene. Hundreds of roses suspended by ribbons from crape myrtle trees graced the path to the altar, designed by Alexandra Stergiou of Todd Events, lending enchantment. Bridal Gown: Meredith flew to New York (eight trips!) to design the dress with Naeem Kahn and his son Zaheen. The hand-beaded gown, with a tree- of-life symbol embroidered into the dress, took 200 hours to create. Fady Armanious of Tootsies was involved with every trip, sourcing accessories and design concepts. The bride also wore a Naeem Khan white beaded jumpsuit for the after-party.
