B eing a diehard fan of the Mad Men series and Tom Ford's pièce de résistance film A Single Man, I was ready for a parade of swans to enter the DMA. Don't even get me started about the looks I bore witness to that evening. Bouffants were in abundance, gloves galore delicately held champagne coupes, and it seemed as though everyone had decided to take every jeweled bauble out of the safe for the night. Fabulous outfits were spotted careening through the DMA. A few of my favorites: Nancy Rogers in a stunning lime-green creation by Jeremy Scott that seemed straight from a vintage pic from a state dinner at the White House during the Jack and Jackie years; Katherine Coker in a custom-made vintage gown designed in Hong Kong; Zoe Bonnette in a sleek, strapless white dress from The Row; Ann Hobson in a strapless Carolina Herrera frock with a delicate bamboo- handled exotic-skin Gucci evening bag; Katherine Reeves in a white knee-length Christopher Kane (was she channeling Nancy Sinatra?) with white plumage adorning the sleeves, accessorized with an Olympia Le- Tan clutch emblazoned with "Love." Then there was a trio of girls whom I might call Dallas' version of Charlie's Angels: Kara Goss, Jennifer Karol, and Selwyn Rayzor, as bright as the most vibrant of Crayola boxes — Goss in yellow Valentino, Karol in pink Herrera, and Rayzor in fuchsia-and- blue Herrera. And lest I forget, the man of the hour, Bolke, who went through three changes that evening, one for every year he waited for this gala — a Tom Ford dinner jacket with pink tuxedo shirt for cocktails, Tom Ford pink leopard jacket for dinner, and for the finale, a Dolce & Gabbana pink satin-draped shirt for dancing alongside LA Instagram sensation, Bob's Dance Bolke's BALL Shop. And, lest we forget, the museum's restrooms were fashioned into Mary Kay Beauty Lounges, draped in pink. Some of fashion's heavy hitters were there, including designer Brandon Maxwell; Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott; Making the Cut winner Andrea Pitter; stylist and costume designer Shiona Turini; Neiman Marcus president Geoffroy van Raemdonck, alongside his dashing interior designer husband Alvise O r s i n i ; D o l c e & G a b b a n a president Dan Rothmann; and president of Amazon fashion Muge Erdirik Dogan. The team from Forty Five Ten hosted a table where Jeny Bania (wearing Maison Rabih Kayrouz), Jordan Jones (wearing the same designer), Anne Wallach, Robin Wilkes, Kyle Branch, Michelle Nussbaumer, Anais Nussbaumer, and Rhonda Tello were seated. Others who made their way in from locales far and wide included interior designer Ken Fulk; Vogue contributor Ian Malone; artist Mickalene Thomas; beauty entrepreneur Edward Bess; and actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler. A welcome dinner was held Friday evening at Deedie Rose's Pump House, hosted by Saks Fifth Avenue and Christie's Auction House. The main event was Saturday evening, with a post- soirée in a penthouse of the Residences at the Ritz-Carlton Dallas that went on until the wee hours of the morning and an Art Ball Recovery Brunch for a few select guests on Sunday. Spotted throughout the course of the three days: The DMA's Agustín Arteaga; Moll Anderson (whose son Mike Camello, founder of Kástra Elión, provided the martinis for the evening) and husband Charlie; Nancy Carlson; Ann and Lee Hobson; Ceron; Michelle Stein president of Aeffe; Howard and Cindy Rachofsky; Derek and Christen Wilson; Amber and Baxter Box; Elise and Stephen Summers; Elaine and Neils Agather; Kristin Bray, who accessorized her caftan ensemble with a Pucci scarf as a head wrap; Jessica Nowitzki; Becca Cason Thrash, in from Houston; Cornelia Guest; Kelli and Gerald Ford; Leigh Anne Clark and husband Dave Clark, Amazon CEO, Worldwide Consumer; Juliette and Mark Mousa; Cindy and Armond Schwartz; Kira Nasrat; and Sharon Lee Clark.
