BEST IN THE FIELDS, FALL 2022 ROUND TOP IS AND BIGGER THAN EVER. BACK By Candice Cowin. Photography Heather Robards Julie Harrah at Marburger A freewheeling, mask- free energy could be felt throughout the tents, barns, and buildings at the Round Top Fall Antiques & Design Show, which brimmed with fresh finds and excited shoppers and vendors, many of whom were experiencing the show for the first time. Among the newbies was content creator, designer, and stylist Arvin Olano, spotted arm-in-arm with Rancho Pillow's Sheila Youngblood at Bader Ranch. Olano literally danced his way through the venues with expert guide and host Youngblood, later posting on social media that "Round Top was so good I decided to sell almost everything … next time, I think we are going to take a U-Haul." He was only half-joking. He and husband Andrew Pisapia purchased several mid-century French and European pieces for their home in Las Vegas, including a set of dining chairs from Cyril Clerc's Bader Ranch outpost. We ran into a fair share of experienced Round Toppers as well. Those in the know go to Marburger, and they go early. Fashion designer Julie Harrah, in from L.A., was there at dawn on opening day as Marburger celebrated its 25th anniversary show. Harrah's Bel Air home was recently featured in Architectural Digest, calling it the house that Round Top built. Harrah described her Fall 2021 journey to Round Top with designer Alana Marie as "my version of Disneyland," noting that she "bought everything in a matter of seconds, and every piece, I just adore because of the experience. This really is the house that Round Top built."
