Founder Jessica Jesse created the brand in 2012 after being inspired by the sai sin bracelets passed out by Buddhist monks in Thailand. Each handcrafted AWB bangle is made of polyvinyl carbonate medical-grade tubing and filled with gold or silver leaf using non-synthetic oil and sealed with natural brass prayer beads which develop a verdi gris patina over time. The mindful bangles, available in a plethora of colors, are touched by 20 artisans at the company factory in Bangkok and are priced to ensure every employee can make a living wage. Bangles $58 to $375 per set, at budhagirl. com. Caitlin Clark Bobby McAlpine 18
