W e've discovered another foodinista in our own backyard — and she has news. Prosper resident Jocelyn Delk Adams debuted her second cookbook, Everyday Grand: Soulful Recipes for Celebrating Life's Big and Small Moments: A Cookbook (Clarkson Potter) last month. Given her mantra that every day needs to be celebrated, you'll find recipes that are jazzed and kicked-up a notch. The media darling behind the Grandbaby Cakes blog, which D eborah and John Scott and Megan and Brady Wood, founders of Park House Dallas, are opening a Houston version of Park House, their coveted private social club, in Highland Park Village. The Houston club opens in December on the top floor of 4411 San Felipe, in 25,000 square feet. "The Houston club is Dallas on steroids," Deborah says. Like Dallas, the interiors will be designed by Los Angeles design firm Studio Collective, which also gave the Dallas club its youthful, sophisticated vibe with contemporary residential-style spaces. Houston will feature new rooms such as The Bali Room, The Snug, and what Deborah dubs a Secret Speak Easy.
