"What's important to note," Stenesen says, "is that these events are interactive and unique, and they are also an investment in our mission, contributing to our ability to expand our learning and outreach programs. These events make a true impact in our community." Perhaps one of the most popular experiences at the museum is its private sleepover party, where donors and guests have the museum to themselves from 6 pm until opening time the next day. Billingsley further elevated the experience into a larger sleepover event with multiple families that's available through packages sold at Night at The Museum. It's all in the name of fun — and fundraising. "These memories are unique and last a lifetime," Billingsley says. "It becomes personal for these children. As they begin building their lives and careers, they'll also begin making decisions on what organizations they wish to engage and support long-term. When they remember the magical night and the unique experiences they had at the Perot Museum, recurring donor streams are created."
