Requiem for a House The keeper of Houston's architectural history, Stephen Fox, reflects upon the grand architecturally significant homes of early and mid-20th-century Houston that have been lost to the wrecking ball. From River Oaks to Braeswood and Shadyside, no posh edifice or pedigreed owner was immune to the march of progress or the disregard of our past.
