SEPTEMBER | PAGE 36 | 2014 Slam MATCH POINT L uncheon-goers lounged poolside at Tootsies' annual River Oaks Tennis Tournament Luncheon and Fashion Show at River Oaks Country Club, where lunch wasn't the only thing served. During the course of two afternoons, between matches, spectators donned designer threads in a timeless country-club setting hearkening back to the fabled photographs of Slim Aarons. Amid sunglasses, hats and sunny frocks, the chic set dressed for the weather, including the Tootsies delegation: owner Mickey Rosmarin; creative fashion director Fady Armanious in Vivienne Westwood; store manager Chris Goins, glamorous in a white-on- white Trina Turk jumpsuit and Presmer clutch; and in-store stylist Tamar Mendelssohn rocking a vintage dress and Giuseppe Zanotti heels. FASHION SET A cing it: Joanna Hartland Marks in a radiant blue Alexis jumpsuit; Liz Glanville pairing Valentino heels with a sharp Veronica Beard suit; Greggory Burk with her little one, Fields, in Lanvin children's togs; Berthica Fitzsimons in Tomaso Stefanelli; Donna Josey Chapman in Dior; Cheryl Boblitt in a light Alain sundress; and Vivian Wise in Prada. Other standouts that matched the sunny afternoon: Michelle Hevrdejs in citrusy Ralph Lauren; Gracie Cavnar in a Warhol-worthy print by Yigal Azrouël; Soraya McClelland in a sleek number by J. Mendel; and Lindley Arnoldy in a preppy white Veronica Beard blazer and short shorts. Katie Cullen rocked a cerulean Oscar de la Renta dress, Saint Laurent shoes and Nancy Gonzalez bag, while Ashley Pearce was in Robert Rodriguez, and Carrie Carson in summery Pucci blue. Rounding out the fashion set: Rachael Volz pairing a Theory jacket with a Zara skirt; Hallie Vanderhider in a Valentino sheath, Philip Treacy hat and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes; and Rachel Regan sporting a fun number from Nicole Miller, topped off by a wide-brimmed Eric Javits hat. Tony Bradfield and Kevin Black, whose Tenenbaum & Co. 13-foot-tall clock made its first appearance during the ROCC tennis tourney, announced it would be a permanent addition to the fabled grounds. LOVE C hairman Jo Lynn Falgout oversaw the annual luncheon and fashion show (where, famously, the runway spans the azure pool), which takes place between matches of the storied tennis tournament, played out on ROCC's clay courts for its 80th year. Credit Lenny Matuszewski and Tamara Klosz Bonar for choreographing the elaborate show while the string quartet Phat Strad, out of Las Vegas, added a plucky touch.
