Did we mention said family is India Hicks'? Daughter of British aristocrat Lady Pamela Hicks and famed interior decorator David Hicks, and granddaughter of The Earl Mountbatten of Burma, India shares snippets of her charmed life and home (Hibiscus Hill) on Harbour Island in the Bahamas, in her new book India Hicks: Island Style, with foreword by her godfather and second cousin, Prince Charles, whose wedding to Diana she attended as a junior bridesmaid. India touched down in Houston for a cocktail party and book signing thrown by Tootsies with co-hosts The River Oaks luxury high-rise and PaperCity magazine. She admitted to being distracted by the fashion on Tootsies' covetable racks (remember, she lives on island) as she showed luscious photographs of her island home and guest houses in a salon-like talk with 200-plus guests and spoke about life with her father, who "assumed everyone wanted to live in a world of vibrating color." In true Texas fashion, she was whisked away to Armandos for margaritas and dinner afterwards.
