Our very own snob, the tenacious and talented Tina Craig, chats about her Snobiversary of 10 years, and mother-to-be Amber Venz Box (co-founder of rewardStyle) shares an intimate space with PaperCity; awaiting the arrival of baby Box, we get a sneak peek into "Birdie's Nest." All that glitters this month must be NorthPark Center, as it continues to celebrate its golden 50th anniversary — read "The Power of Two," featuring Nancy Nasher and Karen Katz. And, it's time to boot up and yeehaw with Tim McGraw for Cattle Baron's Ball Saturday, October 3, at Gilley's. Check out both sections. Calendar notes for this month: Texas Trailblazer Awards Luncheon with actress Marisa Tomei Thursday, October 1; CARE Breakfast at the Omni Hotel Monday, October 5; and a celebration of the exhibition opening of "International Pop" at the Dallas Museum of Art Wednesday, October 7. Join PaperCity and Forty Five Ten Thursday, October 8, for a special appearance and book signing by meaningful beauty supermodel Cindy Crawford. Then join NorthPark Center for Fifty Years of Fashion, a fashion and shopping extravaganza Friday and Saturday, October 9 and 10, with endless runways shows, luxury events and beauty shows. Shop till you drop! The month culminates artistically with First Look and TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art (October 22 and 24), this year honoring abstract artist Ellsworth Kelly. Next month, you will be greeted with a new editor in chief: I am excited to share with you that Christina Geyer joins PaperCity, where she began her career as assistant editor. After three years as managing editor at FD, Christina returns and takes the helm. And, where am I going? Not far, still here — as editor at large I will continue to work directly with the team on all things VPC, Very PaperCity!
