Charity founder Vivian Wise had asked for Eyes Wide Shut-inspired dressing, and the sellout crowd obliged. The benefit for the Human Rights Campaign drew a cross section of the city, from social heavyweights to party boys, which played beautifully into the voyeur/poseur atmosphere in which seeing and being seen was the chief entertainment. The night rocked with provocative frivolity, a Lady Gaga impersonator, and a fashion parade of designer labels.
