20 WHEN THE NIGHT ROCKS Lady Gaga BFF Brandon Maxwell rocks the night at The Astorian for Catwalk for a Cure. Shelby Hodge interviews the darling of Saks Fifth Avenue and surveys the raucous party scene. Photography Jenny Antill Clifton. S o much energy was coursing through The Astorian that of-the-moment fashion de- signer Brandon Maxwell felt compelled to shush the sellout crowd before his on- stage interview with this social scribe could begin. The animated party clamor is typical of the annual Catwalk for a Cure, the Saks Fifth Avenue fashion event benefi tting Amschwand Sarcoma Cancer Foundation. Chairs Stephanie and Ernie Cockrell and Christine and Ty Hoffer, alongside Amschwand founder Missy Bellinger, greeted the adoring throng, which included Maxwell's family from Longview. Front and center were Tenenbaum Jewelers' Tony Bradfi eld and Kevin Black, who provided a cache of jewels for the bidder's-choice auction and a gold pendant for the cham- pagne pull. PARTY PEOPLE: James Bellinger, Marcia and David Solomon, Wezy and Bobby Dees, Erin and Boyd Heath, Francine Ballard, Alexandra and Brady Knight, Allie and Jay Fields, Alia Rdissi, Dr. Sippi Khurana, Lindley Arnoldy, Vanessa Sanchez, and Kathryn and Jeff Smith.
