McLaughlin's second Houston store, this outpost in Town & Country Village. Chairmen Cathy Echols, Jo Furr, George Lancaster, and Matt Vandever — J. McLaughlin poster children, all — gath- ered their troops to celebrate with hosts, J. McLaughlin's dapper retail president Jack Lynch, who fl ew in from New York, and PaperCity publisher Monica Bickers. Per tradition, the fi rm brought in artist Patricia Van Essche from Westchester, New York, to monogram hand-painted greeting cards for lucky guests, and Swift Events provided the fuel for the shopping fl urry.
