30 CAPRI INSPIRATION CHRISTIAN SIRIANO CASTS HIS DESIGN MAGIC ACROSS A SEA OF ADORING FANS. Shelby Hodge goes along for the ride. Photography by Killy, Anthony Hynes. S o many devotees surged to greet designer Christian Siriano that the invitation-only cocktail reception at Elizabeth Anthony had a rock-star vibe. Siriano — who's dressed First Lady Michelle Obama, and whose fan base includes Neve Campbell, Coco Rocha, and Christina Hicks — has truly found a fan base in Houston. After chatting with customers in the Uptown Park boutique, Siriano slipped backstage to dress his models, who paraded in his boldly colorful Spring 2017 collection. This was no or- dinary fashion happening. Elizabeth Anthony owner Julie Roberts and director of sales Jeanne Ruberti rolled the dice for an al fresco runway presentation, and they hit the jackpot. The beautiful, balmy evening was reminiscent of the isle of Capri — the inspiration for Siriano's collection.
