Tell us about Marfa. Marfa Wine Co. is a bottle shop and tasting room out in West Texas. The building is an old adobe building — where Randy Quaid once hid from police — that was meticulously rehabbed over five years. I saw the building online and fell in love with it. Marfa is a place that either sticks with you or it doesn't. I've been going for the last 10 years and have felt the urge to start something there for some time So it was the culmination of a lot of work and the fulfillment of a dream to be able to open there. First impressions of Houston, now that you're back. I returned with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised by how much Houston has grown in terms of the food culture. T-Rex was open, Nancy's Hustle was just about to open, and I thought, 'Wow, Houston is really getting it!' I see a city that attracts all kinds of creative people doing amazing things and am excited to be a part of it. Give us a story.
