214.520.8300 ERINHOME.COM ERIN @ ERINHOME.COM THE RESIDENT EXPERT OBSESSIONS. DECORATION. SALIENT FACTS. T he PaperCity queen bee is buzzing about, in search of the sweet scoop on what's coming to Dallas and what's new at our favorite spots. If you see her (likely wearing her signature yellow-and-black-striped Carolina Herrera day dress) and have some news, be sure to share. RETAIL: The hot neighborhood that recently welcomed RH (née Restoration Hardware) has rebranded as Knox Street, dropping "District" from its name. Have your street slang down when referring to the retail mecca so you won't look out of touch … For stunning summer dresses from Jil Sander or Cecilie Bahnsen, head over to Forty Five Ten. They've now adjusted hours to Monday and Tuesday by appointment, Wednesday through Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm. Tea service will no longer be provided on the weekends, but we've been told that come fall, some new tasty — and perhaps boozy — options will be offered in the former Mirador space. RESTAURANTS: We were saddened to learn of the imminent closing of our go- to spot for morning lattes or afternoon bottles of rosé and people watching. Royal Blue Grocery closes its Highland Park Village doors for good on June 27. (The Main Street location remains open, but will be renamed Berkley's Market). But we were excited to learn that a new lease has been signed by Major Food Group, which is already bringing its award- winning Carbone restaurant to the Dallas Design District this fall. The famed New York City brunch staple Sadelle's will open in this prime piece of real estate, and word is San Francisco designer Ken Fulk will RETAIL + RESTAURANT BUZZ perform his magical design skills in the transformation of the space … Looking for a new spot to grab a bite for breakfast? Our friends at East Hampton Sandwich Co. have launched new breakfast sandwiches, available during all business hours, in case you fancy eggs for dinner. Our favorite is The Mulberry, comprised of two eggs, peppered sausage, bell peppers, and Cooper's white American cheese. However, with swimsuit season upon us, we might opt for The Health Nut which is layered with egg whites and sans cheese … Vandelay Hospitality Group has announced that its new concept Brentwood, located at Belt Line and the Tollway, will open this fall. The newly expanded 6,800-square-foot space doubles the size of the former outdoor patio, with a dramatic stone-mason fireplace and bar. Also, on the horizon for Vandelay is D.L. Mack's, slated to open in late August or early September in the former Biscuit Bar space in the SMU and Park Cities neighborhood. Vandelay will blend the family-friendly vibe of its Hudson House restaurants with its hard-to-score-a-reservation-at Drake's Hollywood. HEALTH AND BEAUTY: Ready for swimsuit season? Vive Personal Fitness has moved to a fabulous new space on Greenville Avenue that accommodates 100 to 120 people in 12,800 square feet. It's filled with new squat racks and Peloton bikes, as well as enhanced recovery and wellness services. SOCIAL: Celebrate 40 years of horsepower at the Equest Gala June 5. The organization partners children and adults with diverse needs with horses for healing through equine-assisted activities and therapies. This year held at the Al Hill, Jr. Arena at Texas Horse Park, promises unexpected surprises. Billy Fong 22
