Houston's new mega development East River is starting to take shape with new restaurants and office tenants committing to phase one. But then again, Grant Cooper is used to defying expectations at his restaurants. Located just off Kirby, Hines' latest is also something of a new direction — the real estate giant's first retirement community in Texas. While MorningStar could pass for any other Hines building at first look, this six-story showstopper only has 112 rooms. This is senior living taken to a new level.
