It is the thrill of running from one place to the next and seeking out inspiration through art, design, and architecture. Colors, scents, and sounds provide different perspectives in our lifelong pursuit of the new. But it is also a slow stroll down an old path, letting time slip by while listening to the sound of waves crashing down below. Traveling to Miami for Art Basel and Oaxaca to reconnect with nature and myself was a stark reminder that while we often crave the new, life's most important treasures are those that we take for granted. The support of a friend, the care given by loved ones, our good health, or simply seeing the sun rise each morning.
