City Boots Opens in Autry Park The Stealth Wealth of Vicuña This Just In F ashion darling Adam Lippes opens his second US boutique in Houston's River Oaks District (the first is in NYC) at the end of this month, stocking his complete collection of womenswear and home objects. Known for unhurried elegance and understated design, Lippes began his fashion career at Ralph Lauren and became one of the youngest creative directors at Oscar de la Renta. Lippes is the Neiman Marcus guest designer for the PaperCity Philanthropy in Fashion Best Dressed Luncheon and Fashion show at The Post Oak Hotel on Tuesday, September 24. Vicuña wool looks expensive For the first time during its annual spring custom show on Friday and Saturday, April 19 and 20, Norton Ditto's flagship store in Upper Kirby offers vicuña sport coats and suits, bespoke-tailored by Oxxford clothes out of Chicago. The family-run emporium, headed by Dick Hite for 25 years, opened in 1908 as Barringer-Norton downtown on Main Street; the name evolved into Norton's in the '20s, then finally Norton Ditto. Caitlin Hsu L izzy Chesnut Bentley's stylish City Boots has found a Houston home in Autry Park, where the Fort Worth-based entrepreneur has opened the doors on 1,520 square feet of western footwear splendor. Celebrating her third brick and mortar after Fort Worth and Dallas, Bentley introduces a Houston collection: the Kirby, Memorial, Richmond, Montrose, San Felipe, and Fannin boots. Lauren Wills Grover of Wills Design Associates created the light and airy space stocking more than 30 styles of boots in myriad colors, including the brand's most coveted Heart and Lightning boots.
