OBSESSIONS. DECORATION. SALIENT FACTS. Retail: We've pretty much reported all the openings this fall — highlights including Dior in Highland Park Village (moving into the space occupied many years by Ralph Lauren) and the return to Dallas for Prada at NorthPark Center. We've heard whispers that Gucci might be opening a new location and promise to be the first to report if we get confirmation … You may have noticed that beloved Madison in Highland Park Village has closed after 20 years, but never fear: Founders Kelli Ford and Kirsten BUZZ Y O U R E V E R - B U Z Z Y PA P E R C I T Y B E E H A S LOTS TO REPORT THIS MONTH. HE'S GOT THE SWEET SCOOP ON WHAT'S PREMIERING IN DALLAS AND WHAT'S HAPPENING AT OUR FAVORITE HAUNTS THIS SUMMER. IF YOU SEE HIM AND HAVE SOME NEWS, BE SURE TO SHARE. Fitzgibbons of Kirsten Kelli, have moved it to their 8,000-square- foot space in the Dallas Design District, previously named Off the Floor, which opened in 2023. With Madison and Off the Floor combined under the Madison name, you'll find the full complement of Madison's china, crystal, candles, linens, frames and more, as well as Off the Floor's stock of furniture, antiques, and accessories. Watch for an opening this summer at 114 Express Street. Check their Instagram for updates: @shopmadison214 … One shop that just signed a lease at NorthPark Center and will move in later this year is Glossier — makeup, skincare, body care, and fragrances … One of our favorite recent openings is Martini Man Consignment, launched by Ken Weber and Greg Kelly next door to their always hopping Vintage Martini. If you're a fan of sustainable fashion and consignment couture, look no further. On a recent visit, I scored an Hermès white shirt with subtle pleats along the front that still had its original tags. You'll find cool pieces from the '60s, '70s, and '80s, as well as more contemporary fits from Alessandro Michele's time at Gucci and collectable looks from Supreme … Also for the fashionable boys of our fair hamlet, Nicole Kwon has opened a menswear concept store. The South Korean-born, Dallas-based fashion entrepreneur launched The NKC Store – Men's in West Village next to The NKC Store – Women's (formerly the Nicole Kwon Concept Store). The boutique highlights Kwon's signature in-house collection alongside established and emerging designers — from day to evening, office-appropriate, streetwear, and evening looks … Thrift Studio, which supports nonprofit Dwell with Dignity, will have weekly online sales via Instagram through August, leading up to this fall's IRL Thrift Studio. Look for it every Friday on our favorite social media platform. Tea Time: We're elated that Mirador's Spring Afternoon Tea will continue through the summer. Mirador, the restaurant on the top floor of fashion mecca Forty Five Ten, reopened in 2024 after Swoon the Studio reimagined the space, inspired by the Viennese decorative arts movement Wiener Werkstätte. Make a reservation for this often- sold-out seating window of 11 am to 3 pm. The experience starts with a strawberry orange blossom scone, accompanied by cream and jam. Three courses follow in due course — perhaps our favorite is the coronation chicken, which we love to pair with Love-U-Mami (white/green) tea. Social: Yes, it's that time of year with not much to report (beyond my birthday early in the month). We've reached the finish line of the spring season of trunk shows, charity lunches, and black-tie galas. If you're a girl who just wants to have fun, head to the Dallas Omni Saturday, June 1, to see Cyndi Lauper headline at the Rhapsody Gala. The benefit for Turtle Creek Chorale is co- chaired by Grace Cook, Sheilon King, Tara Lewis, and Whitney Strauss. Miz Lauper is a Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award-winning songwriter and performing artist with global record sales in excess of $50 million. She also champions causes focusing on empowering women and the LGBTQ+ community … Beginning this month, Shakespeare Dallas presents Twelfth Night and Scenes from The Odyssey by Mary Zimmerman, adapted from the translation of The Odyssey by Robert Fitzgerald as part of the 52nd Shakespeare in the Park festival. Performances run for six weeks Thursdays through Sundays, at the Samuell-Grand Amphitheater, June 14 through July 21. Billy Fong Men's side-zip camo pant $228, and cooling shirt, $92 at The NKC Store – Men's Afternoon tea at Mirador 18
