T exas Swing: It was both a high note and a bit of a paradox when Round Top Festival Institute — one of America's foremost classical music conservatories — presented Texas & Western Swing legend Asleep at the Wheel. The widely touring torchbearers of Texas music brought the house down in the 1,000-seat Concert Hall at Festival Hill. Now well past their 50th year in the game, with 10 Grammys and millions of miles on the road to show for it, Asleep at the Wheel is still directed by their original front man, guitarist, and vocalist, Ray Benson. He led his band in a setlist that harkened back to Bob Wills, including "Miles and Miles of Texas," "Take Me Back to Tulsa," and "Bob Wills is Still the King."
