(Continued) T he Round Top sartorial scene continues to thrive, encouraged by an inexorable We s t e r n c u l t u r e movement that has created endless demand for Western wear and lured a French fashion house to the Spring 2024 Antiques & Design Show. Balmain Paris set up shop at The 550 Market, with its cowboy- inspired Spring/Summer 2024 pre- collection for men and women. Reps for the heritage brand, dressed in its glittering finery, walked the Round Top Red Carpet Fashion Show at the Round Top Dance Hall, alongside models sporting looks by the king of luxury vintage, Cameron Silver of L.A.'s Decades. One-of-a-kind pieces from Rockabilly Baroness and The 550 Market artisans were also worn by models who shimmied, shook, and spun their way down the red carpet for the benefit of the Fayetteville Community Center & Performance Theater. The Dirty Bohemian Western Vintage Renegades Fashion Show at Market Hill was equally spirited. Set to live Western swing and gypsy jazz by the Pendulum Hearts, locals moonlighting as models showed off a series of vintage fashion finds from the fields. Eclectic looks by Dirty Bohemian, Moontower Austin, Saint Bohemian, and more were celebrated by the interactive audience. Some guests even took to the runway to dance with the models. All this fun was for a good cause, with ticket-sale proceeds benefiting the Festival Hill Gardens & Grounds Committee, a group working to restore the outdoor environments at the beloved Round Top classical-music conservatory.
