All in the Details S amuel & Sons' new c o l l a b o r a t i o n w i t h London designer Martin B r u d n i z k i p l a c e s handwork front and center, emphasizing techniques a n d f i n i s h e s r a re l y seen in contemporary passementerie. The Romaunt collection, inspired by the artistry of the Pre- Raphaelites, was designed with Brudnizki's And Objects product studio co-founder, Nick Jeanes. The collection is comprised of 10 designs offered in eight colorways, spanning cords, gimps, fringes, rosettes, tassels, and tiebacks. The materials and construction are unapologetically luxurious: Yarns are twisted into cords with subtle shifts in tone; beads are wrapped and knotted by hand; and Above: The Romaunt collection designed by Martin Brudnizki for Samuel & Sons includes gimp, beaded cord, beaded fringe, and tasseled bouillon fringe. embroidered borders are finished with softly scalloped edges. Fringes move from bold, color-blocked compositions to intricately beaded designs, while rosettes and tassel tiebacks are intricately handmade like jewelry. The palette — emerald, terracotta, gold, crimson, blue, and burgundy — draws from the saturated hues of Pre-Raphaelite painting. Brudnizki's attention to detail makes him a natural partner for Samuel & Sons, the 80-year-old New York company widely regarded as the leading source for luxury passementerie. Swedish-born and London- trained, Brudnizki is known for richly layered, immersive spaces such as Annabel's in London, and properties for Rosewood, Belmond and Four Seasons. He's also at work on the forthcoming Knox Hotel, Auberge Collection, in Dallas, slated to open in late 2026.
