OBSESSIONS. DECORATION. SALIENT FACTS. T exas Design Week Dallas is a fantastic week of design filled with salon talks, panel discussions, book signings, product launches, and cocktails w i t h s o m e o f t h e most recognized names in design and architecture, with the Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas and President's Dinner aligning during the same week. C ome September, we suspect this column m i g h t b e s e v e r a l pages long, given all the premieres that are looming, including more details about Hermès opening in its larger Highland Park Village space in 2027. Retail: Also at Highland Park Village, the Gabriela Hearst pop-up remains at least through September … NorthPark Center has three exciting new debuts that will likely be open by the time you read this: Much-adored Jimmy Choo opens across from Louis Vuitton, Alo Yoga opens in the luxury corridor between Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom, and Sézane, the first French fashion brand born online (in 2013), opens its second Texas outpost (the first is in Austin). Later this summer, watch for the NorthPark openings of Lafayette 148, L'Agence, and Maison Francis Kurkdjian. Social: We've reached the finish line of the spring season of trunk shows, charity lunches, and black-tie galas — but here's one event not to miss before jetting off to Jackson Hole or Georgica Pond. In celebration of Pride Month, the Dallas Arts District Pride Block Party is set for Friday, June 19. This free, inclusive event encompasses programs at the Crow Museum of Asian Art of The University of Texas at Dallas, Dallas Museum of Art, and Nasher Sculpture Center from 6 pm to midnight. Pride- themed tours, performances, films, gourmet food trucks, makers (and plenty of shakers, we imagine), and a community mural, all pop up while you mingle with local artists. You'll catch us line-dancing with the Round-Up Saloon house dancers, who will also be on hand that evening. (That's our local watering hole that I affectionately call Brokeback Mountain Live.) This event is one of four tent-pole events at the Dallas Arts District Fest welcoming the World Cup 2026.
