Anna Schuster Brides-to-be can now put a ring on it — or at least virtually try one on for size — via the Tiffany & Co. Engagement Ring Finder app. Wonder how a Tiffany sparkler might look like on a certain finger — perhaps a cushion-cut emerald or a colored gem in a classic solitaire? Browse through the venerable jeweler's inventory, snap a pic of your hand and virtually try on your favorite style, then share your selection with your groom-to-be. Unsure of your size? Place one of your own rings on your iPhone screen to determine the perfect fit. Once you've found "the one," schedule an appointment at your local Tiffany & Co. boutique, or receive a consultation by phone or email. The app even helps you share the news with your loved ones digitally. Free, at the iTunes Store. Megan Pruitt Winder DIGITAL DIAMONDS C ire Trudon and Paris-based designer Giambattista Valli have reunited for a second union of scent and style. Their collaboration began in 2010 when Valli approached the French candle maker about creating a signature bougie that would be exclusively sold in his shop on the Boissy d'Anglas in the 8th Arrondissement. The result was Rose Poivrée ($95), evoking Marie Antoinette's devotion to the flower. Its success prompted yet another candle collaboration to correspond with the launch of Valli's bridal gown collection: Positano ($95), named for the village on the Amalfi coast. Top notes of gardenia, neroli and bergamot give way to a heart of orange blossom, jasmine and magnolia, finally revealing a base of tuberose, Peruvian balsam and lily. What better way to fan the flames. $95 each, at Carl Moore, Chateau Domingue, Kuhl-Linscomb, Longoria Collection; ciretrudon.com. Seth Vaughan FRAGRANT FLAME of FRENCH FASHION Cire Trudon x Giambattista Valli's Positano SOMETHING NEW, SOMETHING BLUE I n the spirit of something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, Prada introduces the Made To Order Décolleté collection. Choose from nine styles with five heel heights — from peep-toe for a garden wedding to classic pumps for black-tie cosmopolitan nuptials. If a white satin silhouette isn't quite your style, add some pop with a splash of color. Customize the sole in robin's- egg blue, and make it your own with your new initials in gold just above the Prada logo. From $745, at the Prada boutique. Megan Pruitt Winder HITCHING POST O ur freshest nuptial venue comes with a side of country. Cue newly minted Rockin' Star Ranch, a close-to-home retreat in the charming environs of Brenham where 200 acres of verdant land surround a rustic-inspired ballroom that can seat up to 300 revelers, alongside eight stone cottages that burst with amenities, a saltwater pool and a horse arena begging for a barn dance. Foals grazing upon fields of wildflowers at the entrance set the tone for this idyllic setting. The brainchild of Marie and Wallace Dillard and daughter Elaine Dillard (former Orange Show development director), the family — who own the building firm W.M. Dillard — turned their design/construction acumen to a working ranch, and this is the utterly chic result. To book your wedding and/or reception on the range, rockinstarbrenham.com. Catherine D. Anspon KATY ANDERSON NEWS Carolina Herrera at Casa de Novia We're over the moon for the beguiling bloom portraits by one-time PaperCity fashion editor Ashley Woodson Bailey. The Texas native, now residing in Atlanta with her husband and three kids, turned a mishap into triumph after a car accident ended her career as floral designer — a craft she had practiced for two decades, including stints with Dr. Delphinium in Dallas and Bergner & Johnson Design, Houston. (She still works her stylings under the moniker The Byrd Collective for the blogs Design*Sponge and Salted & Styled.) Mesmerized with flora since she was a child, she segued into capturing images of the subjects she adored this spring. The resulting collection, titled "Dark," is inspired "by the transition of the flower from a lovely blossom to a dying stem and the deep desire to preserve the metamorphosis as a moment in time," she says. For PaperCity readers, the artist has released a never-before-seen suite of limited-edition images, available in sizes from 8 x 10 to 40 x 60 inches, printed on Hahnemühle photo rag paper. $200 to $884; inquiries Seth Vaughan, seth@papercitymag.com.
