M ove over, Romeo. Our latest Italian love goes by the name Kean Etro — the spirited creative director of menswear for his family's namesake fashion house, Etro. The charming gent jetted to town from Milan with his wife, Constanza Etro, and young daughter for the opening of Etro's Highland Park Village boutique. During a pre-party spin through the store, Kean regaled us with Etro's rich history, from its founding days as a textile company during the swinging '60s to its innovative use of jacquard, paisley and other bold patterns in clothing and accessories collections for men and women. Co-hosts Christine Handy and Jamie O'Banion made the party rounds dressed head- to-toe in the Etro spring collection. Meanwhile, fellow co-hosts Todd Fiscus and Ceron sported their Etro best — albeit on a Houston runway, where they were stranded thanks to inclement weather. (No doubt they were the best-dressed travelers aboard Southwest that evening.) Back at Etro in Highland Park Village: A stylish crowd, including HP Village co-owner Stephen Summers and wife Elisa, shopped Etro's vibrant collection, all to benefit Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts' annual fund-raiser, Flyinghorse. DJ Lucy Wrubel spun beats and chatted with Kean in Italian between songs. Italian expats in the making: Etro's North America general manager Marco Pievani; Highland Park Village store manager Danielle Maurer; and guests Tony Caliendo, Reagan Nickelson, Moll Anderson, Debby Allbright, Gabriel Suarez, David Morales, Jan Strimple, Jenny and Randy Bailey, Lynn McBee, Pat Harloe, Myrna and Bob Schlegel, Tina Craig, and Bobbie Repp. JULY/AUGUST | PAGE 12 | 2016 BY JANE ROZELLE. On the third floor of the NorthPark Center store, the talented hands at Neiman Marcus installed a temporary gallery of photographs snapped during McCartney's pre- Fall 2016 presentation at legendary Hollywood record shop Amoeba Music. Inside this Stella Museum of Art, Neiman Marcus top brass Jim Gold kicked off the lunch with a brief history of McCartney's sustainable and animal-friendly brand. "In 2001," he said, "Stella started her company, which today is sold in 77 countries and does hundreds of millions of dollars across all categories including kids, fragrances and accessories." The glowing praise prompted a quick-witted retort from McCartney: "Lunch is on me. Bring out more champagne!" Après lunch — which was vegan, of course — guests shopped the Stella Museum Shop, a trunk show of McCartney's Fall 2016 collection, with much attention paid to her Elyse Star platform shoe. Seen: fashion director and senior VP, Ken Downing; Neiman Marcus NorthPark store manager Malcolm Reuben; Courtney Sinelli, Kary Brittingham, Nina Abner, Rebekah Finley, Jan Miller, Joyce Goss, Lindsey Collins, Nancy Rogers, Theresa Helms, Selwyn Rayzor, Ida Simonsen, and Brett Levy.
