30 BABES IN TOYLAND BY LISA COLLINS SHADDOCK. PHOTOGRAPHY STEVE WRUBEL. B irthdays. Parties. Joy. These are things that The Birthday Party Project's CEO, Paige Chenault, does not take lightly. So when it was time to celebrate the organization's sixth birthday, she went wild with a Toy Town- themed extravaganza. Event-pro chairs Emily Clarke and Lauren Heiler, along with tal- ented friends such as Todd Fiscus, worked their magic. The Bomb Factory has never seen anything quite like this. A disco ball twirled above a Twister-board dance floor; a life-sized Easy Bake Oven wall served mini cakes; and a spiral slide connected the upstairs bar to the party below. Wheee! Equally impressive was how committed everyone was to the dress code, which instructed guests to dress as their favorite toy. Costumes were unapologetically goofy and nostalgic (we see you, Mr. Monopoly). The Georgia Bridgewater Orchestra and DJs Souljah and Julio Rivera kept the energy at maximum levels. But the real icing on this birthday cake was the more than $550,000 raised, which will fund birthday bashes for homeless children.
