letter publisher STEVEN VISNEAU, SISTERBROTHER MGMT 14 A s we round out spring, there's much to see us through the season. We're pleased to present two special ad- vertising sections in this issue. One is dedicated to the Dallas Design District, highlighting several of our valued showroom partners such as Holly Hunt, Allan Knight and Associates, and Ebanista. The other looks north, to reveal all the see-and-be-seen-in places that abound in the ever-growing areas of North Texas, from Plano to Allen, Frisco, and beyond. Growth is also happening to the west of us in Fort Worth, where the recent debut of The Shops at Clearfork has sparked a transformation of the city's fine-dining and fashion scene. Neiman Marcus, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, and more have moved in — as has B&B Butchers & Restaurant, which recently opened its second Texas location at Clearfork, following the wild success of its Houston location. For a peek at the grand-opening party, flip to page 66. Also making its way to The Shops at Clearfork is beloved jewelry bou- tique Ylang 23. After 33 years in the biz, owners Joanne and Charles Teichman are bringing their collection of baubles to a second location, this one in Fort Worth — their first and only boutique outside of Dallas. We can't wait to toast their expansion when the store opens this summer. After a recent meeting with the Kimbell Art Museum, our team is looking forward to fall in Fort Worth, when the exhibition "Balenciaga in Black" debuts. We're thrilled at what's to come: gorgeous archival Balenciaga gowns, hats, accessories, and more — all in striking black. The exhibition, developed by the Palais Galliera in Paris, will run from October 7 through January 6, 2019. It's sure to be a blockbuster. If you're receiving this magazine at home, you'll notice the 2018 Soluna Festival Guide that accompanies the issue. The supplement's 64 pages runneth over with Soluna's robust events — music, dance, visual arts, or otherwise — taking place as part of the month-long event. Soluna kicks off this month on Sunday, May 6. It's one of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra's brightest and most ambitious endeavors, and we look forward to its arrival.
