HAVE YOUR CAKE. POST IT, TOO. By Natalie Gempel W ho doesn't love it when life imitates art? The Spring 2018 collection of fashion house Lafayette 148 is an ode to great female artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe and Joan Mitchell. So, it's fitting that the label chose mod- ern female artists to help showcase the collection at Neiman Marcus stores across the country and continue the conversation about the intersection of fashion and art. At Neiman Marcus NorthPark Center, Instagram celeb Stephanie Nass hosted a party and presentation celebrating women, art, and fashion. Known as Chefanie, Nass redefines culinary art with impressive masterpiece cakes, and her Instagram account has garnered a loyal following. In collaboration with Lafayette 148, the influencer created three confections that coordinated with the artist-inspired prints. To talk all things sweet with Nass, our city's blog contingent turned out, including Brooke Burnett, Amy Jackson, Cathy Williamson, Rebecca Marin, and Krystal Schlegel. Nass wore a look straight off the runway: a feminine white shirtdress splattered with blue spots. And, of course, she made a cake to match.
