A fter 33 years of building their business into one of Dallas' most beloved jewelry retailers, Ylang 23 owners Joanne and Charles Teichman and vice president of business development daugh- ter, Alysa Teichman headed west to open a second location in the Shops at Clearfork in Fort Worth. The unveiling was certainly reason to celebrate, with two hot-pink flamingos crafted of rose petals by David Kimmel Design setting a cheeky tone at the entrance. Inside the boutique, artwork of Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra, a magenta velvet sectional, and upbeat tunes spun by DJ Lucy Wrubel set the electric-neon pace as longstanding Dallas and Fort Worth friends celebrated with the Teichmans. The exuberant palette extended from the tables of sweet treats (neon-swirled donuts dusted in glitter and gold stars, cereal bars drizzled with hot-pink frosting) and personalized aura photos and readings to the true stars of the party: glit- tering jewelry cases of colorful gems.
