Of course, the abundance of sea- grass and sunny prints within the Quadrille showroom in the Dallas Design Center has a similar effect — making it the perfect setting to fête the celebrated interior designer on the release of her first book, Island Hopping: Amanda Lindroth Design (Vendome Press, $60). The volume paints a picture of 25 deliciously relaxed homes strewn among Lyford Cay, Antigua, Abaco, Belize, Harbour Island, Palm Beach, Southampton, and Maine's Great Cranberry island. The designer's large Dallas following — including chic hosts Tricia Besing, Allison Benners, and Ami Cooper — share many things in common: an elevated eye, an appreciation for the luxuriously slow-paced lifestyle, and, in many cases, keys to a number of impeccably designed island homes. (Tricia and her husband Gil Besing own the chic Dunmore hotel on Harbour Island.) All of this made for great conversation as Lindroth mingled and inscribed copies of her new tome. Quadrille VP, John Romano, in from New York, and showroom manager Jennifer Lee Near greeted guests.
