T he design-loving crowd waited breathlessly at Forty Five Ten for adorable interior and fashion designer Kelly Wearstler, who showed her winsome tabletop accessories, pillows, throws and jewelry wares. Forty Five Ten owner Brian Bolke and DJ Lucy Wrubel welcomed guests Claire Chadwick, Peter Doroshenko, Bradley Agather, Neal Friske, Carol Riddick, Kara Titus, Jimmy Musselman, Beth Rogers, and Susan Palma. Three weeks earlier, it was out into the sunlight, where Bolke���s new emporium, Five and Ten in Highland Park Village, was the scene of ���Puppies and Ice Cream.��� Guests queued up at the Mr. Softee truck, then played with pups available for adoption from DFW Rescue Me, once again all set to tunes by delicious DJ Wrubel. Tuna sashimi with cucumber mint gel, tomatoes and piquillo peppers; whitefish with citrus salsa; and pan-seared scallops with Texas creamed corn, lobster and basil. These decadent bites stirred palates, while flamenco dancers and music by the Tony Hakim Quintet created a complementary feast for the eyes and ears.
