30 TWOxTWO'S NEW ERA I t's one of the parties I look forward to all year: TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art's First Look, which sets the tone for the megawatt TWO x TWO Gala that followed three days later — both of which benefit amfAR and the Dallas Museum of Art. The whole shebang is somewhat akin to the first dance of the school year. Homecoming, if you will. At First Look, the city's top social set reconvene after summer adventures, dressed to the max in their finest dancing and drinking attire. TWO x TWO hosts Cindy and Howard Rachofsky and Lisa and John Runyon and TWO x TWO director Melissa Ireland greeted the mix of local and global guests in the foyer of the stately Richard Meier-designed Rachofsky House. For kicks, let's imagine this as our dance's (ultra-chic) high school gymnasium, for the sake of my stream of consciousness. I was in a threesome that evening, as my two dates were girl about town Zoe Bonnette and the über-hot interior designer Doniphan Moore. As at any school dance, guests were sharing secrets and news. Sisters Hannah Fagadau and Hilary Fagadau buzzed with news of their upcoming exhibition at Gallery 12.26 — their new gallery space at River Bend. Park House proprietress Deborah Scott was heard whispering about her latest members-only club's coup: Art-world stars Gilbert & George have unveiled a new installation in the swank space in Highland Park Village. Art is, of course, at the core of TWO x TWO, with proceeds earmarked for amfAR (the American Federation of AIDS Research) and the DMA. So, each year it's won- derful to see local artists and gallerists in attendance. Glittering art-world guests included Erin Cluley, Nic Nicosia, Allison V. Smith and Barry Whistler, Nancy Whitenack, Holly Johnson, Cris Worley, Celia Eberle, Ree and Jason Willaford, Frank Elbaz, Talley Dunn, and Eduardo Secci. Neiman Marcus CEO Geoffroy van Raemdonck and his interior designer husband, Alvise Orsini, were showing around Neiman's new team member, Lana Todorovich. She was quite the lucky new girl in town, to have been taken under the wing — and shown the party ropes — by one of our city's most popular couples. Spotted among the fashionable crowd perusing canvases and 3-D works: Tim Headington, Kristen Cole, Nasiba Adilova and Thomas Hartland-Mackie, Kaleta Blaffer Johnson, Dallas Museum of Art director Agustín Arteaga and hus- band Carlos Gonzalez-Jaime, Todd Fiscus (who puts his magical touch on TWO x TWO's flurry of events each year) and husband Ceron, Jordan Jones, Nish de Gruiter, Jeny Bania, Megan and Brady Wood, Elisa and Stephen Summers, Emily Summers, Caroline Summers, and Kelley and Christopher Bass.
