T wo stellar evenings highlighted The Kimbell Art Museum's glittering season: the opening dinner celebrating "Renoir: The Body, The Senses" and the museum's always anticipated annual Red Party. Guests at the Renoir dinner — including Stacie McDavid, Olivier Meslay, Jennifer Casler Price and Steve Price, Shannon and Mark Hart, George Shackelford, Mary Ralph Lowe, Charlie Flanders, Kimbell Wynn, Lisa Fortson and Brenda, and Chad Cline — spent quality time with the artist's controversial nude masterpieces. The Moroccan-themed Red Party was a Night at the Kasbah conjuring Morocco and Algiers with vivacious caftans, fezzes, and slippers. Christy Dunaway Smith, Jenny Dupree, and John Wynne bid in a frenzied auction while belly dancers and snake charmers roamed the room. Likely many guests left the Kimbell that evening and entertained booking a camel ride for a one-way trip to Marrakesh.
