Chanel-ing through time t he Palais Galliera in Paris has unveiled a c o m p re h e n s i v e r e t r o s p e c t i v e dedicated to the work of Gabrielle Chanel. The exhibition follows the evolution of Madame Chanel's style and her contributions to the history of fashion. VĂ©ronique Belloir, who curated the exhibition alongside Miren Arzalluz and Marie-Laure Gutton, states in a press release: "It was a new elegance based on comfort, freedom and feeling natural. It was a kind of manifesto." Works on view range from Chanel's fluid dresses of the 1930s to suits of the 1950s, as well as accessories that exemplified the modern stance that Chanel brought to the fashion world.
