T he retail gods have finally smiled on us, and we have new openings to report. Southern Sartorial: Billy Reid is setting up new digs in NorthPark Center. Be sure to score a piece (or an entire ensemble) from the recently launched capsule collection, a collaboration with Mumford & Sons inspired by their new record. (Did we just say that? How hipster retro of us.) … Candles and More: Just around the corner in NorthPark Center, you'll find our very own Byredo (yes, they have locations everywhere we're longing to visit right now). Along with Byredo's fragrances and coveted candles is a new makeup collection, which launched after what we presume were some chic lab experiments between Byredo founder and creative director Ben Gorham and makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench … Soft Landing: As we fluff our nests with accessories that make us feel eco- conscious, we consider Parachute at NorthPark Center to be our new go-to. The modern lifestyle brand is committed to making us feel at home, providing bedding, loungewear and all we need for relaxed comfort … Psycho Shopping: We've been crazy for Psycho Bunny since the preppy- with-an-edge menswear brand launched in 2005 — and now a full boutique has opened in NorthPark Center. Psycho Bunny, founded by Robert Godley and Robert Goldman, has a cult-like following due in part to their logo — a bunny skull and crossbones — emblazoned on knee-high argyle socks and bucket hats. But there's more to this story. Hop on over to Level 1 in the Nordstrom Court to add a Psycho Bunny face mask with matching polo to your wardrobe arsenal … Bringing the Stripes: After hosting a successful pop-up at Market in Highland Park Village, La Ligne and its signature striped Marin sweater and Lean Lines tees made things permanent last month. The New York brand, founded by former Vogue editors Valerie Macaulay a n d M e r e d i t h Melling and R a g & Retail Reconnaissance La Ligne founders Meredith Melling, Valerie Macaulay, Molly Howard Byredo's new makeup collection Bone's former head of development, Molly Howard, enlisted interior designer Lien Luu to translate its New York aesthetic to Dallas, resulting in a 662-square-foot store that evokes a chic, Parisian apartment, with plenty of stripes on hand.
