38 BY ANNE LEE PHILLIPS. PHOTOGRAPHY JENNY ANTILL CLIFTON. U ncertainty reigned t h r o u g h t h e summer after the devastating c a n c e l l a t i o n of the Round To p S p r i n g Antiques Show in March 2020. In an unprecedented collaborative effort, the hundreds of individually owned venues united at the urging of Round Top Publishers' Katie Stavinoha, who made countless phone calls to meticulously reschedule the show's fall dates from September to October. Once the show began, the major venues collaborated closely to ensure that COVID-19 and CDC protocols were followed. Against all odds, the fall show was a resounding success with record-breaking attendance and sales for many dealers. And the cooler weather was a welcome change. Indeed, a dramatic cold front snapped through on the final Tuesday. While the normal refrain from venues is a boast about fans or A/C, the Big Red Barn was one of the few able to proclaim, "We have heat!" Liz Lambert, founder of Bunkhouse and principal of Lambert McGuire Design and pal Bobby Johns were spotted buying art for their Hotel Saint Vincent project in New Orleans. Designers Todd Romano, Renea Abbott, Aaron Rambo, Meg Lonergan, Lindsey Herod, and Kristen Nix were also seen sprinkling sold stickers on coveted items through the tents.
