ART + DECORATION F or her new collection with L'Objet, designer Kelly Behun has reimagined everyday objects for the home — bowls, platters, and even the lazy Susan — a one- time family dinner-table staple that rarely gets design attention. In Behun's hands, utilitarian bowls are sculpted in European oak atop geometric pedestals sprouting stylized leaves. Platters on stands, formed from ebonized European oak and brass, become works of art reminiscent of Brancusi and Arp. Her lazy Susan is inlaid with geometric patterns made from walnut, acacia, and birch and outfitted with a metal turntable mechanism. Behun is a rule breaker whose provocative interiors for the barons in the worlds of art, entertainment, tech, and politics have landed her on Architectural Digest's AD100 list and Elle Decor's A-List. L'Objet Kelly Behun, $195 to $850, at kellybehun.com/lobjet. Rebecca Sherman EXPLODING THE STATUS QUO HOLLYWOOD AT HOME N ot only is Brigette Romanek Beyoncé's interior designer, she's also done interiors for Gwyneth Paltrow, Demi Moore, and Misty Copeland. Her roster of celebrity clients is long, and no wonder: Romanek's interiors are livable, glamorous, and full of personality. Her new furniture collaboration with Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams has a contemporary edge with a dash of old Hollywood glamour, Art Deco curves, and laidback California chic. Romanek fell in love with MGBW after visiting their North Carolina factory, noting the brand's dedication to craftsmanship, sustainability, and diversity of people who work there. Brigette Romanek X MGBW, at Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, Highland Village, 4091 Westheimer, mgbwhome.com. RS F ashion designer Christian Siriano always creates buzz on the red carpet for his show-stopping gowns for Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson, and Taylor Swift. And who can forget his gender- bending 2019 Oscars creation for actor/singer Billy Porter, which combined a fitted tuxedo jacket, tux shirt and blousy bow tie with a strapless black velvet gown and full ball skirt — a first at the Oscars. Siriano embraces the unconventional; his advocacy for body diversity on the runway and red carpet landed him on Time magazine's list of most influential people. Now, it's his new collection of furniture that's turning heads. Created in partnership with 1stDibs, the collection focuses on shapely seating with geometric wood forms upholstered in nubby neutrals, relying on line and form in lieu of color. Siriano Interiors furniture, from $795, at 1stdibs.com; limited selection at sirianointeriors.com.
